Full-Time | 1st Shift (Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM)Bond Optics is seeking a Quality Technician I to support mechanical and visual inspection of precision optical components and assemblies. This is an entry-level to developing technician role for candidates interested in building a career in quality and inspection within a high-precision manufacturing environment.
This position ensures that manufactured components meet required specifications and quality standards through the use of precision measurement tools, visual inspection equipment, and interpretation of engineering documentation.Required:Compensation range: $20.00–$26.00/hour, depending on experience. Mechanical & Visual Inspection

Position Summary
This position ensures that manufactured components meet required specifications and quality standards through the use of precision measurement tools, visual inspection equipment, and interpretation of engineering documentation.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical inspection of manufactured components and assemblies using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Conduct visual inspection of components and finished products using microscopes and other inspection equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine inspection requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and classify dimensional deviations and visual defects accurately.
- Maintain inspection records, reports, and non-conformance documentation to support traceability and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production personnel to address quality issues and support corrective actions.
- Assist in maintaining and improving quality control processes and procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
- Support team objectives related to quality, throughput, and on-time delivery.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise, repetitive inspection tasks.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation accurately.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, or a similar hands-on environment.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Exposure to engineering drawings, blueprints, or inspection standards.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles.

Physical / Work Environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting and performing detailed inspection work.
- Frequent use of microscopes and inspection tools requiring strong visual focus and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires fine motor skills for handling and inspecting delicate optical components.
- Work is performed in a controlled manufacturing environment.
